Romans 8:11 (NIV)
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
We will rise. We may get knocked down 1,500 times a day but we will get back up again. The reasoning for this devo blog. We will get back up again because we have each other and we have the power of Christ that lives inside of us. This honestly was mind blowing to me when I allowed it to sink into my soul. Ok, first of all, in case you were wondering, it’s not normal for a man to rise from the grave. As in, it’s pretty freaking miraculous and powerful, right? That same power is living inside of us. I can’t even. Seriously, just sit and let that sink in. You have so so so much power living inside of you that yes, you can get out of bed this morning even though you feel like you are sinking, you can face today even though your eyes are swollen from weeping. That power living inside of you is gonna get you through a tough conversation today or a situation that you are gonna have to walk through as painful as it may be.
Friends, this is why I speak so much about being warriors. We are so much more. We are so much stronger than we ever allow ourselves credit for. We can move mountains in our lives because of the power in Jesus. We can’t always physically change horrific situations in our lives BUT we have the power to move our hearts to a warrior state. To stand strong in our belief. We have the power to put our shields up, swords in hand and say, not today satan.
You will fall, cause sh** happens, but you will rise. Because we believe and stand firm on the power of Jesus Christ. You are mighty and fierce. No one can touch your soul. Cling onto the power and might that lives so deeply inside of you because it’s gold. Our exterior self and our hearts can feel broken but deep in our soul lives an existence that only we can go down and claim. NO ONE can touch that piece. It’s ours. It’s His. And together, we move from wounded to warrior.
“You’re a warrior. Warriors don’t give up and they don’t back down. Pick up your sword and shield and fight.”
