Jeremiah 29:11 (Common English)
“I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the Lord; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.”
Do you ever wish that God would just swoop down and be like, OK, so this is what’s gonna happen in the future so if you can just make it through the next couple of days, you’ll be on the up. Or if He could be like, so, in a year, hardship is gonna come but you will be alright. Some of you might be in some serious hardship right now, not understanding what He is doing. You are not alone! Pretty sure everyone reading this would be in the same room with you. We would all be raising our hands saying, for sure!
There’s something about the power of believing. My husband is notorious for this! I just heard him yesterday, Heather, I’m just gonna keep believing! OK, you do that while my critical self and I sit over here. Now, you know he’s right for continuing to believe that God will do good things, but…um….husbands can’t be right! Hehe. Although, now he will read this and be like, I knew you were with me on the believing train. (insert eye roll) ANYWAYS….he is right. There comes a time in our situations that you just have no other choice but to believe. What do you have to lose? Kind of sounds harsh but I’m just being real. I can so vividly remember some of the deep, dark places I was in, sitting in my closet, knife in hand, not understanding but I’m telling you, it’s my continued, underlying belief that has brought me out of those situations and can totally do the same for you. No, I didn’t come out of that closet all smiles but instead with a big ole scar yet I’m still here. I’m thriving. Our belief lies at the foundation of our hearts. It’s that place where your warrior power comes. Sometimes belief is the only thing that can hit your circumstances head on. Believing is what gets us out of bed in the morning. It gives us a place to stand. Because of believing in the God who created me, I then can begin to believe in myself.
We’ve gotta hang on, believing that He has our best in mind. That our future will be bright and beautiful because we can rest in our belief. Really ask yourself, do I believe? You’d be surprised what power will start to rise once you’ve rested on the fact that, YES, yes I do.
“Overtime, simple habits of belief lead to miraculous results.”
I so resonate with every word you’re saying. It’s been the toughest year of our life at home, we’re still grappling with some issues, health and other. But God. He pulls my feet off cliff edge and tunes in His peace. Every single day. Thank you for your beautiful reminder here
